Can I Use Insurance to Pay for Services?
As a Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice, I am considered an out-of-network provider. That means, if your insurance has out-of-network benefits then they may partially reimburse you. I will provide you all the information you need to be reimbursed which is called a superbill. Also, there is an app called Reimbursify that will file your out-of-network claims for you. Just take a picture of your superbill and upload it to Better, and they will file the claim, keep track of receipts, and even check on whether certain services are covered for you. When in doubt, call your insurance company and ask specifically what services are provided. Other ways that may help is a Health Savings Account. If you have a Health Saving Account (HSA) you are able to use funding from this account to pay for mental health services.
Couples Counseling/Marriage Therapy Pricing
When beginning couples counseling, it requires a thorough assessment of your relationship. This process is one of the most comprehensive assessments that will pinpoint your strengths and challenges using cutting edge assessments. A thorough assessment gives myself and you information unique to you to know what to target. This is what to expect:
Step 1 - Contact me to set up an initial 90 minute couple session. After your session I will send you a link to The Gottman Relationship Checkup.
Step 2 - Each partner will have a 45 minute individual session that will review their personal and relationship histories.
Step 3 – A feedback session that reviews the information gathered. This is where I provide feedback on your relationship strengths and challenges. We will then make a plan to get your relationship back on track!
Initial Couples 90 Minute Session: $270 which includes The Gottman Relationship Checkup which is part of the assessment. The Gottman Institute charges $39 per couple.
Individual interviews (45 mins each 90 mins total): $180

Payment is required at the beginning of each session.
Cancellation Policy:
If you are unable to attend your appointment, please give at least 48 hours notice of your cancellation in order to avoid being charged the full session fee. I can then reschedule with you if you would like.
